Kvinner & IT is a student association at Høyskolen Kristiania that engages in networking between the IT students at Høyskolen Kristiania and various companies in the labor market, with a particular focus on women in the IT industry.
The students received Bellini as a welcome drink, a goodie bag and fresh donuts from Talormade. There was a very good atmosphere from the moment we opened the doors until the last student went home. The evening was filled with laughter and a good atmosphere. We opened with a welcome speech, followed by a lecture about what it is like to work with us at TECHPROS. Ronja, Johanne and Malin talked about how they got here, about how much they have grown and learned in the years they have worked here.
Furthermore, Thea Marie gave an exciting and inspiring lecture about what it is like to work as a female system developer in a male-dominated profession. Finally, there was a small quiz with 3 lucky winners. After the quiz, it was time for sushi and mingling.
What an evening, it was a smashing success! Which is extra fun, because it's the first time we've organized such an evening and it's unlikely to be the last!
PS: Did you know that according to a study from Kantar's annual survey for the ODA Network, it turns out that the proportion of women within IT in 2022 is only 29%? That is why it is great to be able to say that today we have a proportion of women of a whopping 36%. A share that stood at 15% only 2 years ago.
