Wilhelm started his career as an interaction designer and project manager in 2011, but eventually wanted a deeper theoretical background within UX. He therefore moved to London and took an MSc in Human Computer Interaction design in 2016. He has over 8 years of customer experience within the development of analogue processes and digital solutions. He has good experience in breaking down issues and answering objectives with different research methods within UX. Wilhelm is head of UX at TECHPROS. Here he is responsible for leading the group of consultants who work in these areas. His main task in the role involves making plans for competence development for each employee in the group, as well as keeping the company up-to-date on the specialist area in general. Here Wilhelm describes in his own words what it is like to work at TECHPROS: "TECHPROS is a medium-sized consulting agency where it is easy to get to know everyone well! The consultants here work with several large and well-established clients with interesting projects. At the same time, through the internal projects, TECHPROS has started a collaboration with several startups. This provides opportunities where the consultants can work on both large socially important projects in e.g. NAV, NRK and DNB, or smaller startup environments together with passionate entrepreneurs, within varied and unique domains. Several of the consultants also have larger stakes in these startup environments. I work at TECHPROS as a UX designer. As a UX designer, the goal is often to change or introduce something new that has fewer challenges and that solves more needs in a domain. This 'new' can e.g. be an app, new work routines, or other changes in the environment. The process to achieve the goal can roughly be divided into three phases where we try to understand, explore and evaluate. We want to understand something concrete within the domain - How things work, how things are connected, how people think, what people do, why they do it, how information flows, etc. With this understanding, we can try to anticipate challenges and needs. This makes it possible to explore different solutions that we believe may have fewer challenges and that solve more needs. There is no guarantee that our understanding of the domain is completely correct, or that the solutions we explore actually achieve what we think. We must therefore evaluate the solutions to test this. This is an iterative process where we continuously improve our understanding of the domain and the solutions we create." - Wilhelm
